Der 17-jährige Halbwaise Jim Hawkins gerät in den Besitz der begehrten Schatzkarte von Kapitän Flint. Er bittet den Dorfarzt Dr. Livesey und den adeligen John Trelawney, ihn bei der Suche zu der geheimnisvollen Insel zu unterstützen.
