Ο θάνατος δε θα είναι πια ποτέ ο ίδιος.... Οι ζωντανοί νεκροί διεκδικούν το δικαίωμά τους να ζήσουν. Είναι εύκολο να τους σκοτώσεις, εκτός κι αν είναι δικοί σου άνθρωποι. Σε ένα μικρό νησί, δυο προύχοντες λογομαχούν για το αν πρέπει να αποτελειώνονται οι ζωντανοί νεκροί ή αν πρέπει να εκπαιδεύονται να τρέφονται με κάτι άλλο εκτός από ανθρώπους. Μια ομάδα δράσης τάσσεται στο πλευρό αυτού που υποστηρίζει ότι πρέπει να σκοτώνονται κι ότι η εκπαίδευσή τους είναι ανέφικτη γιατί έχει απονεκρωθεί ο εγκέφαλός τους. Είναι όμως έτσι;
